Hello all,
I am planning a trip up to Texoma in a few weeks and will be staying close to the Catfish Bay area.
Does anyone know if the fishing has been good up in that area or are there spots on that end of the lake that are better than others?
What are the baits they have been hitting? I have read that slabs and bucktails are hot but what about topwaters and deep-divers?
Thanks all, Jess

North end is producing just as we'll as anywhere else on the lake.. Top water early along main lake points..watch for surface action altered in the day. Slabs and or coho or sassys are working just fine....and of course live shad still best You'll probably find all the fish you want up there between the bridges... Disclaimer......that is current info..two weeks from now it may all be totally different

Crossing my fingers
Are there any preferred slabs, jigs, and topwaters?
If we can net some shad, whats the best way to fish them?

Hey JD, what time do generally go out for bait? I bought a tank a few weeks ago and want to try it out tomorrow. Thinking I'd throw for em in Mill Creek.

I get out tween 3-3:30 am everyday for bait
Mill creek ought a work for bait
You really don't have to be out that early..I just gotta give myself enough time in case it's tough...you could most likely get all ya need tween 5 am and daylight..I just ant afford to wait that late..
One thing to keep in mind is the full moon...I always find it much tougher to get bait during the full moon.

We fished Texoma today. Got out early at Alberta Creek. We started fishing from the southeast side of the RR tracks down to the south. The birds started working some, must have been small schools because by the time we got to em they were gone. So we marked fish even further south, Moes slabs and Pet Spoons with the green reflector. We caught alot of fish, but none really big. Largest in the 16 inch size. Maybe being new to the slab fishing has something to do with the size of the fish we landed. IDK maybe there was just a bunch of small fish. Oh well we had fun until the wind kicked up , my little 17 footer took a beating. Thats some big angry water out there today.

I was in that same area for a while yesterday..mostly just box fish but lots of them. Bigger fish were farther south on the washita flats.. If ya think that was angry water ya shoulda been south in the open water Which boat were you in..not much traffic yesterday. I only remember seeing about 3 boats over there yesterday..
