IMO, cant beat Lance Vick. Great fisherman, and an awesome guy to spend a day with. And you will be fishing top of the line equipment.

you want a hard working guide i had this man hired on during turnover season. he help me understand my electronics as well as give me some great spots i can return to in future to catch fish. he wasnt satisfied and he earned my respect. when we was mid up in day said to me we dont catch fish cause of this turnover mike . Im not taking your money thats true guide and now a friend. But guess what me and my son both caught the best we had on fork, had a tremendous time learning a new teqnique called drop shotting and shaky head 7.6 and my boy caught over 5 lber. but do that in them conditions i was told it was great. so im convinced. i hired the right guide that day and i met now a friend. too me the 400 was well time spent for lifetime memories and friendship Andrew Grills was my guide for that memory.

I have become a big fan of guide Ron Casner of Monster Bass Guide Service. I only began "booking" Ron in late April/early May of this year, and we have since been out on Fork together about 10 different times.
Fork has some really good guides, and I have tried a number of different ones before Ron and I had positive experiences with them. However, Ron and I have simply "clicked." We have developed a good rapport and our personalities are just a good "fit." Ron loves sports (especially the Vikings as do I as my mom taught Adrian Peterson in high school at Palestine) and we share a number of the same interests so we are always visiting and telling jokes while on the boat.
Ron knows that I prefer to try and catch "numbers" of bass and when possible I like a topwater bite, so Ron always tries to tailor the trips the best he can for my personal interests. Ron is also affordably priced on his trips and he is a very competent fisherman and he cares that you (aka the client) are having fun and that he is doing everything he can to try and put you on the fish.
I fished this past weekend with Ron (Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday afternoon) and we boated a total of 54 bass. Our two best went just under 5 pounds. Ron is also a gamer - we fished Sunday afternoon for literally hours in the rain and Ron never complained a single time. I can't say the same for me as my cheap Wal-Mart pancho did not hold up well so I did complain about the fact that I was getting completely soaked!
You will know it when you find the guide or guides that you click with....best of luck to you.

Also Roy Greer, He has like 2 Share A Lunkers. You can take your boat and it runs like $150 per day. Or you can use his boat it more, but cheaper than the rest. He is suppose to be good about teaching reading your graph and finding bass that way. http://www.thebassclinic.com/

furim2,
You could ask Clint Wright.
He guided on Lake Fork for around 9 years with 300 guided trips a year until he moved to Central Texas. He probably knows just about every guide running on that lake and he would be able to give you an insiders view of each of their strengths so you could make a good decision or at least narrow your decision down some. Not trying to knock any of the guides mentioned by any means but I do know first hand about Clint's integrity and honesty.
PM sent....

I have been out with a number of guides over the years and the majority will work very hard to put you on fish. I have been out numerous times with Andrew Grills and enjoy every minute of the trips. He knows the lake very well and is extremely informative on the patterns of the bass. Andrew is a all around excellent guide and excellent teacher of different techniques. You cant go wrong hiring Andrew.

For that matter, I believe RedRanger used to guide on all the area lakes, and do rather well, too. He requests his clients wear sleveless T's, so therefore, his business has been slacking a little.
Seriously, Cameron put out the list. Call some up and see if you "click".
