I tore up the Black crappie at LMF river , Broken bow OK. Just drift fished in my YAK flippin jigs and minnows. I threw a bunch back. I just kept what we could eat each night. Beautiful clear river ! pics to follow.
I swear I caught so many fish that the water level went down!

Crappie and Rainbows? Man you've got it good over there! Those are my two favorite freshwater fish. I was telling my son during the Texas/OSU game yesterday that even though we were rooting for Texas we still like Oklahoma very much.
I need to plan a combo trip with my fly fishing mentor up to your neck of the woods.

The Rainbows up in the evening hole , spillway etc... have slowed a bit but the warm water fish are still very actice in the lower river. We are back home in Midlothian but plan to go back very soon!
I swear I caught so many fish that the water level went down!

There are some nice crappie, bass, Catfish, etc further down the river.

I caught Black crappie, large mouth, Big red ear and sunfish about 3 miles downstream from hwy 70
