Anyone catching any big bream and/or redear during these hot summer days? If so, what depth and bait are you using?

I've been catching several when fishing about two feet under a cork for catfish using cut shad. I kept getting hits and when it wasn't a cat I'm sure it was the bream since I caught a few. Good sized and would cover your palm. Might try to fish specifically for them using a lighter rod, smaller hook, and smaller chunk of cut shad.
