First the right turn signal and brake light stopped working, then the left, but tail lights remained operative. The bulbs looked good, but the sockets of these "submersible" lights were badly corroded, so I replaced both assemblies. No go. I did a little online research, and tried one of the suggestions, testing the wiring with a separate battery through a separate connector. No go (but still had running lights). I got a $7 doohicky at Walmart to test the power supply from the pickup. This looks like a trailer connector without the wires, with little lights to tell you which functions are getting juice. It told me I wasn't getting any through the turn signal sockets. I did a little more research, and read about fusible links on one of the Nissan forums. These are in the fuse box, and aren't anything like the fusible links I had ever seen. These are in plastic cartridges, 3 to a set. The inside box cover identified one link as having to do with tow functions. I tried to extract it, but it didn't want to come out. Must be a trick to it. (I had already checked the tow fuses, of course.) I got to talking with a young man at a parts supply place, and he said it looked ok to him. So, I did a little more research, and read about tow relays, modules and kick panels. No way I was going to venture into that thicket, so I decided to turn the troubleshooting over to U-Haul. Before I left, I thought I would at least take a look at the relays. These were in a relay box between the battery and fuse box. I removed the cover and whadda you know! There was a single 15 amp fuse in there, identified on the inside cover as "Trail Turn," and it was blown. Problem solved, through pure dumb luck. The Frontier Owner's Guide was of zero use in this process.

Sounds like a mess but its good ya checked before you left.Go ahead and do yourself a huge favor and buy you a set of leds, I use to fight with changing bulbs week after week and bought a set of led lights from academy for 50 bucks and have been trouble free for almost two years.
