Hi all,
I hope everyone is doing good on the TFF here, it's been a while since I have been on.
I need to find a good, (i'd say accessible) easy to get to etc. fishing spot I have a friend who does not get around the way he used to and its his birthday pretty soon. His wife called me and told me she and their two sons wanted to take dad fishing, so I'd like to find a good spot on the bank thats not too crowded where we can set up some chairs and drown a few worms.
Any ideas close to Denton ?

Denton has some nice lakes, try any of them.
North Lakes (NE of Walmart) you can drive right up to the shore.

south Lakes would be good to for some catfish maybe In Denton on Hobson Lane west of FM 2181. North Lakes is very low at this time. Also the barge at Lake Lewisville may be a good option and in fact I would think maybe a better option for your trip and not far from Denton at all. The barge Link to the barge

Some good ideas there. Also check out the bank fishing map here on TFF.
Be careful... I heard there is some knd of Denton Co. "gang" that dont like most folks haha.
