Hey guys,
Taking a vacation down to Port Mansfield (in November). I'm curious who y'all would recommend for bay fishing. Preferably, who's the best:

1) Redfish Guide
2) Speck Guide

Thank you for your thoughts and opinions
Mitch "Rooster" Parker

Capt. Mike Lowe 713-818-1296. He lives down there full time and knows the area. If he is booked up he can get you in a boat.

Others I would recommend would be Mike McBride or Jeff and Danny Neu. Sorry but dont have there numbers.

Capt. Mike Lowe runs offshore trips to. He runs a 36' Atlantic that he just bought to replace his last offshore boat.

Depends on how you define "best" as with all things.

Is Best the highest quantity of fish?
Is Best the Largest fish, even though they may be fewer?
Is Best the most enjoyable person to fish with, overall?
Is Best the cheapest?
Is Best wading all day through knee deep mud to catch that one fish? (my definition of best)

I'm fishing with Mike McBride-Skinny Water Adventures in Feb, look him up. He and Trish are top notch. Be patient with the communications, those guys are on the water all day every day. As with all guides, make sure you communicate clearly what makes a good trip for you and make sure your guide can deliver

I've used Captain Jack (Klostermann) Charters. Top notch, grew up on the LLM, doesn't quit after a limit. Leaves port at sunrise and stays until 3-4. Will help the in-experienced and keeps a good attitude. Sometimes he'll go after a quick limit of reds, then chase trout or visa-versa. Which ever is biting best he'll put you on them, then go looking for that second limit. Will use bait (your cost), arti's, wade or drift.
