Anybody use the Navionics app on a smart phone? How useful is it on the small screen? I figure it's gotta be worth 10 bucks, but I thought I'd get a few opinions before I loaded it. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I loaded it last night and I think it's great! I failed to mention I have crappy electronics in my boat so until I can spring for the unit I really want this will come in very handy for zeroing in on potential spots. Can't wait to get out on the water with it.

Have you considered iNavX?
For basic viewing, the Navionics app for iPhone is great but if you need more capabilities, you may want to check out iNavX. It's a full fledged navigation program that can view Navionics charts and others (e.g. free NOAA charts).
FYI, Navionics charts from the phone app are not cross compatible with charts from iNavX. Charts are purchased and downloaded through a different system which is more comprehensive and integrates across various platforms (OS X and Windows).

+1 That's the best part, looking at the bottom contours to target potential good spots. Still haven't gotten on the lake with it yet, but I think I'll like tracking my drifts and using the markers, etc. Great tool for those of us still saving up for that big electronics upgrade.
