Never heard of it. Explain please.

I googled it and don't like the looks of it. Kinda scares me leaving them in bag like that

The first time I saw glory bags was 2010 BWS div. 10. I thought those fish will never survive in that bag. Guess what? Not only did they survive they were very calm in the livewell, no floping around and at weigh in they were as frisky as when he caught them and this was in June. If i ever need a new cull system I'd definatly consider the glory bags. They are diffrent colors so you can keep track of your fish. Hope this helps.

Ive seen them and I just don't see how it can not hurt the slime coat on the fish, if not rub it off completely. That mesh has to be abbrasive throught the day.

I've used Glory Bags for at least 7 years in well over 100 tourneys. Based on my personal experience, I view them as nothing but a positive in terms of minimizing fish handling and livewell stress. Note that they have not been scientifically evaluated or proven to be a stress-reducer, but they pass the common-sense tests with me.

The bags are constructed of a fish-friendly rubber mesh that removes very little, if any, mucus. They also have elongated, light weights on the underside of the bags to keep the fish upright. I use them for fish up to 4 pounds. Fish remain very calm when in the bags, and when you have numerous fish in the well, you dont experience the repeated struggling of fish in the livewell banging off the walls. Also, when in these bags, fish are not subjected to potential physical injury when running in rough water.

No doubt, repeated, physical handling is a known stressor. With these bags, after the fish is placed in the bag, you never physically touch the fish again. Whether they are culled or taken to weigh-in, fish are just released straight out of the bag via the zipper that runs the entire length of the bag. Culling is very efficient, quick, and fish-friendly when using these bags. The bags prevent chasing free-swimming fish around the livewell. The bags are color-coded to keep track of each fish and have loops on the end to place on a culling beam. Compare this to the old-fashioned stringer-type cull ropes/beams that can do tremendous jaw damage, especially if anglers hold fish up with their weight supported by these cull ropes, as the weight/struggle of the fish can tear large holes. These tears are quickly infected by bacteria after the fish are released and become even larger. When sampling bass populations for TPWD, Ive seen half-dollar size holes in the lower jaw caused by the metal cull ropes. Spring-clip style cull ropes are another option, and I have also used these but had problems with these clips falling off.

I have had nothing but success using Glory Bags. Same goes for the numerous other anglers I know that are using them.
