You know, it's been since I was a child and had Cattelman's in the Dallas CBD, but I'm going to have to agree with this. I remember that taste even to this day. I don't recall any BBQ with the same flavour since but my recipe comes pretty darn close.
Going to grab a jar at the market this week and refresh my memory on some fat chicken breasts & brisket!

This may start a riot based on the number of votes it got, but I was turned on to Head Country long ago by some people from Ponca City where it's made. That was about the only place you could get it. I thought it was very good. Tried it again when it became more available down here and it's it still ok, but it has an unnatural undertone to it. You know, like the smoke is too fake, or preservatives or something. I can't quite put my finger on it.

I was a Cattlemans Original Man for years then America's Test Kitchen did a taste test and Bullseye Orignal won. My first though was what do a bunch of New Englanders know about BBQ, but darned if it hasn't become my favorite. Really good.

I'll be trying Sweet Baby Ray's based on the nubmer of votes.

Had Stubb's original. Not a big fan.

OK. Got a bottle of Cattlemen's and trying it for dinner. Will advise when it's done smile One of the lowest priced ones as well.

VERDICT: fantastic! just as I remember when I was a kid eating at Catllemen's restaurant!

If it's been smoked, all I want is some Louisiana hot sauce.

LOVE that stuff. Yes the exact brand name. Best stuff in the world. You can make wing sauce with it as well.
