 Bass Fisherman Needs some catfishing advise

I have a week off in mid October. I need a place I can go catfishing and camping within 3 hrs of Lubbock. Most of my lakes around here North and South are way low. My boat is down for this year so I will be hitting the banks.

The best catfishing is in the river at Alan Henry . And its ony boat accesable. My boat is down for the next 90 days. And Amistad is 5 hours out. I need some good bank fishing where I can set up camp by the water.

Lake arrowhead. It's a little farther but it's got what you're looking for.

I live in Lubbock, and we are 3 hours to Hubbard Creek. I fished it for bass last year and had a blast. A co worker swears that Stamford is a good catfishing lake and it is two and a half hours from Lubbock.
If at first you don't succeed...so much for skydiving.
