Just because the state record was caught at fork doesn't make it the best lake. Fork can not compare to falcon. It was voted #1 in u.s. by bassmaster and they got it right.

Fork compares quite well to Falcon, for me. 150 mile round trip vs. 1100 mile round trip makes Fork a No Brainer for those of us that can catch Pressured fish.

For one big fish maybe fork but for a whole big stringer surely falcon 40lb. Stringers common I even witnessed a 45lb. 9oz. Stringer wow fork was number one back in the day but falcon is numero uno now .and the fish there fight so hard people up north and they know fork they prefer fork people here in the south prefer falcon .

Just because the state record was caught at fork doesn't make it the best lake. Fork can not compare to falcon. It was voted #1 in u.s. by bassmaster and they got it right. Actually..... He said that the best of all time is clearly Fork. Anyone who argues that point simply doesn't know history very well. Let's rewind 30 years...... The "Lunker" program has been under too many names to list, but you surely know about it. If you gauge a lake by its entries, you can get a pretty good feel for the fish it holds. Falcon has 19 fish entered over the 13 pound mark. Now someone might say that we know the big girls don't travel that well from south Texas and so not everyone turns them in and I would agree. Nevertheless..... You can spot the lake 10 or 20 and it still can't hold a candle to the grand daddy of all.... Lake Fork. Falcon happens to be the #1 spot currently. The numbers of 8,9 and 10 pounders is insane. I would put Ivie and Amistad close behind. But historically nothing comes anywhere close to the 249 lunkers (of the just over 400 total mind you) that Lake Fork has produced. Jackson P.S. With that being said.... I'm headed to Falcon in Oct.

For putting out 40#+ 5 fish stringers nothing touches Falcon.

40lb stringers at falcon are real quickly becoming a thing of the past.
