The Lake Lewisville Fishing Club (LLFC) had our fall Family Fun Fishing Tournament and we all had a good time and enjoyed a beautiful day on the lake. The weather was perfect, the fish cooperated and let us catch quite a few and it was great spending the day with such nice fellow fishermen and fisherwomen. And boy did we chow down on beef, deer, chicken and fish tacos, tamales and some great side dishes and desserts. Thank you to everyone who came out (I counted 52), brought food and helped out or just made for another special day on the lake. A special 'Thank You' needs to go out to Philip and RSR Lures for sponsoring the tournament and coordinating the fishing tournament. Another great job and great work on our club sign. Also, thank you to Lisa who was our camp Mom and had all the wonderful food ready when we were done fishing.

I believe we were all winners to be able to spend quality time on the water and have a great time chowing down. We did have payouts for the adults and 'Big Fish' and trophy plaques for the under 16 division. Following are the winners and a few extra pictures.


Bassfan (with Philip/RSR Lures) with a handful of cash for 1st Place.

Bassthumb was 2nd Place and got some skins too.

Garboy (not his real name but we're trying to make it stick because this is the 2nd large Gar he has brought in to weigh in our tourney) won Big Fish and $100.00 for his 6.8 lb Gar.

Katie (w/dad Kerry Dugan) won 1st Place in our 16 and under division.

John won 2nd Place.

Julia won 3rd Place
Great job kids and congratulations. You are the reason we will continue to do this tourney. Congratulations to all the winners.


The LLFC Crew. A lot of great members that make this club so special and fun.

As far as a fishing report, a lot of the fish were caught on the 'normal' lake humps and I believe mostly on slabs. A lot of hybrids were caught on the same patterns so go get you some.


Bassthumb beat my hybird by 1/10th of an ounce.

That was fun! What a great time visiting and fishing with a bunch of great people. Thanks to blue nitro, RSR lures (all my fish came off the silver glitter shad), and the many other who helped make the tournament a huge success. The food was awesome as usual!

It was a cool to put faces with names and enjoyed getting to know everyone.

Damn that looked like fun! Wish i could of made it guys! At least i got a 2nd place golf trophy though.
