First trip to Hubbard didn't didn't do to we'll. Fished by the dam, gravel pit and also tried south of Robertson park. Didn't see any schooling fish. Below is a screen shot of my finder, I supposing that this is large group of shad? Had a constant number of fish under me all morning but nothing. Used mostly slabs and also some jigs, nada not even a bite. Anyone else have luck thus morning ?

I was on Gene's boat this morning from 7-11am. We caught about a dozen sandies, two short hybrids, some yellers, and three blacks. We had to work for them. We went to all the places that Gene typically caught fish this time of the year, did marked a bunch but only few takers. Saw lots of boats today. Water temp was 76.5 degrees. The depth caught were 15 ft or less. Good seeing everyone out there. Thanks for a fun and relaxing morning, Gene!

A few pics for show and tell.

Most of the fish were caught on tail spinners, slow rolling at the bottom.

Water was flat calm most of the morning.

At noon, got invited for lunch at Frank's. Frank and Aaron did a great fish fry and chicken fried deer meet...yum. Fianlly met baby Mad Max, Terry and Katie's son, Ladies man grandson. Good looking boy! This is Aaron with battered deer meet. Thanks guys for a good lunch and good seeing everyone there!!

We ended up with 26 sandbass, lots of yellows and a few 15-17" hybrids. Definitely a tough day. The best fish of the day was this nice channel cat from the dock cheers

Here is Shen Zen's very first fish EVER!

This is typical for September. October will be better if the temp falls off.
