I wanna say congrats to Chad Penney for being tied for first place in the Mcdonalds Tourney on weight. However, he is in 2nd place for the tourney because the first one to weigh in is the leader. Chad is a good friend of mine and a very loyal customer of mine. Chad went out with me last week on a guide trip and fishing was tough. I had a cancelation on Monday and he went out with me again and it was a little better. I showed Chad where I would fish and how I would fish if I was fishing the tourney. He fished there all day Friday with only little fish. He went back there again today and at 1pm he was about to give up and then he hung the
10.06 lb fish that is currently tied for first place in weight in the tourney. Chad called me at 1pm and said meet me at the Lake Fork Marina I have a 12 lb fish and I am about to win it all. I thought WOW 12 lbs? So, I went to weigh in and met Chad and while she wasnt even close to 12lbs she was big enough to tie for the lead right now 10.06 lbs. I just want to say good luck Chad tomorrow. It will be the longest day of your life I am sure. Also, congrats to another customer of mine Todd Toomer for winning $600 first day of tourney with a 2.16 lb fish.

if it ends in a tie do they both get a first place prize package?

I believe first fish weighed is first place. Other guy gets second.

you are correct if it ended today Chad gets 2nd place and wins a truck and boat because they have no ties. the first one to weigh in would be the winner.

The website says he is in second place with this fish.
The first person to weigh their fish is in first.
But still a great place to be sitting.

I bet that picture he took cost him the entire thing if it was before the weigh in. Makes ya wonder if she had just been left in the water the entire time would she have weighed 1/100ths more.
