I am taking the wife to Ivey camping and fishing the 2nd week of September for 4 or 5 days. How are the RV camping sites at Concho Park?

The camp sites at Concho are nice. The only thing you have to worry about is the heat.

Better bring a boat if going to Concho camping. my wife and I went there last year with another couple in their RV. You will be 100 yards from the "marina" there if you cut thru the brush over to it, with the reservoir so low the marina is sitting in brush itself completely unusable ! They never cut down the trees around the campground when the water was way lower so bank fishing is very limited, mostly to the two boat ramps and a very few clear spots on shore. Deer come right up into the RV circle at night which was real neat. Which reminds me there's a guy who's a guide down there who's got a house/pontoon boat that gives evening trips on the lake, I can't remember his name but hopefully someone else here knows who I mean. His rig has a enclosed room in the middle of it with air conditioning in it, the ends of the boat are open to fish outside too. David C.
4 out of 5 voices in my head say call in sick and go fishing !

We will have the boat. I am going to fish the Abilene Texins Bass Club Open Stagg Tournament Sept. 10th. Going down to relax and prefish the week of the tournament. It will be a good tournament. We put on a BBQ dinner ($10.00 a plate) all you can eat Spare Ribs and Brisket with trimings the night before the tournament. Will be a couple of poker games and a whole lot of B.S. ing. Y'all come join us...
