It was a tough fishing day but a great day to be on the lake, typical September day of fishing. Very little schooling and it only lasted about 5 minutes. By the time you spotted them and got over to them they were gone and it was small schools of small fish. Matt worked his butt off to get us on fish. We marked fish but they just weren't in the mood. We tried top water, slabbin, spoonin, HellPet and down riggin. HellPet produced the best sandies and only the downrigger produced any hybrid and I think it was a total of 3 and one of those was short. Matt is a class act. Did manage to get a 4-5 lb blue cat at the dock. Enjoyed fishing with Jeff and Steve, thanks for the trip Matt.

Thanks Steve, wish it'd been better. Definitely one of the toughest days of the year for me, still scratching my head :rolfmao;
