I was fishing yesterday & the reel was working fine, then the Spool wasn't completely disengaging. I could cast but only half distance as usual. Any idea on what's wrong?

Bunch of different things. Has it been cleaned lately? Have you taken the spool out and dropped it. Have you tried to take it apart and left something out? Did a VBS brake come loose in the drum?

Too many things, mostly minor could cause this and usually by operator error. That clutch system is the best on the market so I tend to lean to operator error somehow but in hand is the only way it can be diagnosed.

You probably have some line caught in the spool one one side of the other. Did you have a backlash?

Nope did have a backlash. I had it repaired at Southwest Psrts. The technician said that it was a "Bad Spool" & they replaced it.

Like Coast stated.

I'm sure it is a pretty simple fix if it had just been serviced.

Most of the time that is caused by the Ratchet Gear being installed upside down.
