I have never been in one but I'm sure someone on here has. Give it some time and someone will chime in. Maybe someone will have one near you can try out before you decide.

It's a fine yak. Some water will come in through the scuppers if you weigh over 145 pounds or so, so plan on plugs if you scale in at more than that. Or just accept a little water in the cockpit.
It's plenty stable enough for fishing, but not for standing. It's not a johnboat.

I've paddled it before and wasn't really impressed with it's stability or tracking. It also seemed to constantly spray you even ice cream conditions. I think there are better options available in that price point.

So you think $250 for yak, paddle, anchor and other kayak accessories is ok? Only used a couple times. I was thinking about adding a outrigger kit for stability if I get it.

This is only my opinion, but if you have to add an outrigger, scupper plugs, and watch your weight for over 145 lbs.....I'd add a little to my $250 and by a Native Redfish. I had a perception 2 years ago, same thing as you....nice looking kayak with paddle and gear for $300....first time out i reached behind me to get a rod out of my crate and flipped the kayak loosing 2 rods and reels that were worth more than I had paid for the kayak. It was gone the following monday. There is a reason it's only $250. Think about it.

With your screen name being bigjay, I'd say it may not be the best choice.

I was 245 lbs when I got my Pescador in the spring (same basic yak). I didn't have any problems. IMO, its about the Indian... not the arrow. It was my first yak so I didn't have anything to compare to either You'll want to plug the scuppers in cold water, but it'll do the job. Sorry if that original comment sounded like I was being rude... wasn't my intent so I tried to correct it. I was just trying to say that different folks have different experiences.
