Setting the scene for the upcoming Fish For Life tournament, we made our annual trip yesterday to Cook Children's Medical Center to visit with the kids. I think this was the best trip we have had! Normally we have about an hour or so before we need to depart and make room for the next scheduled event. Since the kids were having such fun, the staff let us stay for an additional 30-40 minutes. They had card games, fishing games, board games, coloring books, and the ol' stand by; PLAY-DOH.
Each child that was able to come downstairs for the event received a Fish For Life t-shirt and wristband, a rod and reel combo from Quantum Fishing, and a cap from FLW. For those not able to join the group, those gifts were given to their parents so that no child was left out.
This is the second year that Quantum Fishing has donated these rod and reel combos. First class organization to say the least! A huge "thank you" to Mark Jones for making this happen ...
Debbie and I send our heartfelt thanks to those anglers who took time out of their day to help put a smile on these kids' faces. Joining us this year was: Dax Davis, Darren Heavner, Trey McAlpin, Kim McGuffey, Cheryl Bowden, and Stan Smith. What a great group to represent Fish For Life.

This was just a great deal to do for kids! Some of this kids come down from there rooms with out a smile on there face and they leave with a smile! Iam glad to be part of this event and for you guys that didnt come out be sure to get with Steve next for the event it is something else to see this kids with a smile on there face when they leave!
