National Night Out is October 20, 2012at the Cabana / Swimming Pool parking lot at Lakeside Village the community right behind Harbor Bay. Our booth will be located next to Texas Parks and Wildlife who have a nice display every year. There will be a DJ there, and food supplied by the Home Owners Association. I am working right now to have T-shirts and other goodies done by then .. We will be selling them there as well. Platinum members , please know we haven't forgot about you guys smile when we get the shirts in you will get yours... What we need for October 20th is a few of our RHSA members to volunteer to help Terry( Blue Tuna ) and Frank ( Fishboy Frank) with the booth set up and man the booth with them .i already have a double trip scheduled for that day so i can not . I know a lot of our members have asked how they can help ... Here is your chance . We will also determine a meeting here real soon to give updates and any info needed . please PM Blue Tuna if you can help. Thank you guys for your support .

I have a baseball game. Can't go.

But there is something I was kicking around that I haven't been able to complete.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12768829/pwd_lf_t3200_086.pdf

Notice that the White Bass Identification chart has been printed to 8 & 1/2 X 11. With room at the top for a logo and our group name.
Someone with photoshop skills can add this?
I haven't been able to edit this yet and quite frankly I suck at photoshop.

Then, as for the bottom, we could add more info and leave 1/2 of the white space for an ad.
Hmmm... who would we let advertise?
My vote would be for who ever paid for the color printing of the flyers. :-)
We can use these for other events as well.

John, can you help with the photoshop?
And
Should we put up a poll about what to do with the white space?
I think the top space can be used up describing the org and the bottom space can be divided up between ad and more info.

1. ad paid for by the person providing the color prints.
2. more info about RHSA donation link
3. both?
4. other ideas?

Important that we maintain the integrity of the TP&W stuff and not alter the document, just add to it.

The set up time would be 8:30. We will need some one who is good with designing and setting up a booth. Any with some experience in this? I believe JV is having a banner made.

what do we have so far, Terry? (i have done trade shows more times than i liked.)

do we have just the banner?
do we have a table and a couple of chairs?

i can print up some of these hybrid identify things on the laser printer and get them to you. but i cannot make the event. we need something they can take away. what might be better than adding our stuff to that document might be to get a rubber stamp and just stamp things like that when we pass them out.

do we have a set booth space location?
maybe a fence behind us? <== someone with a handful of tie wraps can set up a banner behind the table.

a table skirt would be nice too if anyone has one.

a laptop with a bunch of hybrid pics would be good. <== they would need to get the slide show going.

we will learn a lot this first event.
and hopefully be better for the bigger events like bass pro if we can get in.

Plano Sooner, I believe JV is working on the banner. Our booth will be right next to the Texas Park and Wildlife booth. We are starting from scratch so we will need everything associated with a booth set up. We both are thinking the same thing, start here on something small to iron out the kinks for a bigger event.

How about an ice chest with a few Sandbass and a couple of Legal Hybrids to show the difference. I Havent caught a legal Hybrid in some time but I bet Paul, John or one of the other guys can help us out with a few. I know at the sporting shows the ice chest of fish always draws my attention.

Is that 8:30pm or AM, Terry? JV did say the RHSA banner is being made by the folks we ordered our merchandise from. Thanks JV, and Terry for taking the lead on this!

Keep your receipts guys.

I have the check book but plan to get it to Todd at some point.

We definitely need goodies for a quality booth.

i am doing this in Word 2007. if I can't make it look good, someone chime in if they are good at this
