If that is the case, then why not just drop your bait under the trolling motor and just ease around real slow and let it call them to your bait and win every tournament around. No need in casting anymore, Heck you won't even have to buy reels, just hook em and flip em in the boat.

I do that all the time. It is called drop-shoting or drop-jigging. Very productive method.

Hydrowave is not for everyone because they don't know how to use it. Therefore, they don't believe in it. If you don't believe you don't achieve. Like others have said, if it didn't make a difference most of the pros wouldn't use one.

Same thing goes for side imaging. Just because YOU don't know how to use it doesn't mean it doesn't put more fish in the boat.

You can't compare a HW to Side Imaging, SI works for sure. I would guess all the guys on the Elites that have them they were given to them. Thats the best marketing tool there is for fishing merchandise. If you don't believe it just go back thru all the HW threads and count how many guys use that for an example of them working. I was fishing the other day, pulled up on a point and nothing was happening for about 30 min. The clouds broke, the sun came out and fish started busting schools of shad all around us. Watched school after school of shad swimming around the boat in 25 ft of water. Within 20 min we had caught 8 keepers. We didn't have a HW, but if I would have had one I could have said "man that HW called all these shad and fish up"

Wasn't really trying to compare Hydrowave to Side Imaging. Really just trying to say that anything new takes a while to understand and use properly. Just about every tournament fisherman has a side imaging unit on their boats. I would GUESS that 20% of them don't use it. Why? They don't know how to use it. Same with the Hydrowave.

Fished the BASS Central Open in Ft. Gibson last week as a co-angler. Second day pro didn't even turn his GPS on the whole day. First day pro only used his for navigation. Both had their Hydrowaves on.

If you had a Hydrowave you might have caught 10 keepers instead of just 8. You just never know for sure. But if it helps me catch one more fish a day it is worth it.

No, I don't work for Hydrowave but I do believe in it.

I witnessed Friday that schools of shad seemed to be using me for cover. I located a school of small bass in a cove. When ever I would get my boat within casting range, the school would start busting the surface. As I would pull out to allow them to rest, the schooling would stop, only to return as soon as I got back into range. I witnessed this happen 4 times. I thought to myself this was Hydrowave like effect, without the Hydrowave. I think the shad were using me as cover, and I was bringing them to the bass. Who knows????

You should have had that write up like you had a HW, and had the HW Logo in your sig. It would have meant allot more

I think the perfect test would be Crappie fishing. If it works a Crappie fisherman should catch a limit every time he fishes. Although, I don't thing Crappie fisherman are as gullible as Bass Fisherman. When it first came on the market the guy that invented it said right here on the TFF that he had plenty of money, he didn't invent it for the money, he invented to help the fisherman. Hellooooooooooooo!!

You will hardly see any of the FLW Tour guys without one, I personally know on Detroit River this year it helped activate my bait which in turn got my fish active. The last day of the tournament I caught almost 22 pounds before 10 o'clock and at 10 my unit went out, I didn't cull another fish nor did I catch another topwater fish after that. Jason Christie and I were both sold on the unit completely at that tournament and we both had it on the exact same setting, it was remarkable. I could drift through an area without it on and not get a bite, go through the exact same area with it turned on and it worked. It's a staple in my fishing, but it took a while figuring out exactly what setting to use thoughout all fishing situations, and hydrowave doesn't sponsor me at all and I paid full retail for my first unit. Would buy it again year in and year out if I had to

Like I have said before it does not hurt and if it can get you one or two more fish in a day it is well worth it!!

Good point about the Crappie fishermen. They all seem to be pretty happy with it. I don't have any interest attempting to fool fishermen and get them to buy a gimmic. Every friend I have is a fisherman and the last thing I want to do is go out with a reputation of a snake oil salesman. It works. But really, if you don't feel comfortable and confident, don't buy one. I would not be openly on this forum if it was my intent to rip off a fisherman.
