So I have an older Abu Garcia 4600c4 elite and the knobs on the handle are bad. I was thinking of taking wine bottle cork and cutting them and sealing them to make into knobs? What should I use as a sealer? Thanks

I would just pick up a gator grip handle and replace the old one. I'm not sure how long cork would hold up. But let us know how it goes if you do that.

well, surely there's some rod builders on here and they will know about sealing the cork.or go to mudhole.com. In our shop, we clean the cork when we repair guides on rod and we don't seal, but that does not mean they don't seal them. Those knobs look great.
