Columbia Roc Pants (they are a cotton blend but water resistant and I base layer below when needed) Pearl Izumi baselayer tights (from cycling shop/catalog/site because they are onsale during the warmer months and way better than the competition). Columbia waterproof hiking boots. Columbia blood n guts long sleeve base layer. Long sleeve vented fishing shirt (pockets, added layer) Columbia fleece full zip jacket. Some cool light weight waterproof gloves I found on sale at GanderMtn. Buff, sometimes 2 (one done as a full head+face mask and the second around my neck.

A farmer john wetsuit, fleece pullover, and a drytop can pretty much handle anything you throw at it. If it's real cold, and you are very remote, then it's nice to know that a swim is nothing more than a minor inconvenience rather than a complete hypothermic disaster.
I normally role with waders and a rain jacket, but there have been a few January river runs that got the wetsuit and drytop.
