I was wondering which shapes (long cylinder, round or teardrop) and materials (lead or tungsten) do you prefer? I was out fishing the other day using the long cylinder and round shape. I went through several weights cylinder and round ones getting hung up. I have been reading that the teardrop shaped ones get hung up less. I found these lead ones at TW. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Skinny_Bear_Thin_Dropshot_Weights_10pk/descpage-SBDSW.htmlThanks

Anything you throw in the water is apt to get hung up at one or another, so IMO shape has little to do with it. The thing I like about the long cylinder shape is that as you are working the drop shot, you have two reference points to feel. You will feel when you first lift the weight up and again if the weight rises completely off the bottom giving you more sensitivity to where the weight is.
If you are casting a drop shot and working it as you retrieve it, then I prefer the teardrop for a less than vertical presentation.
As for tungsten over lead, only if are fishing over a hard bottom, otherwise tungsten is pointless and lead is more economical.
Hope this helps.

I use the long cylinder tungsten with the line clip. If it gets stuck just pull and all you have to replace is the weight instead of the whole set up.
