Ride135 is very stable. It has never felt like it was going to tip on me. It's stable enough that I can stand, jump in and climb back in it by simply pulling myself up from the side. Also the speed is decent too. It tracks very good and the seat can be adjust forward or backward to trim it out. Spot on!
Just one more cast!

Cobra FnD, Navigator, Tandem and Mini-X are all good ones for stability. I have a Navigator and Tandem from Cobra and enjoy them greatly. The tandem is now my beyond the breakers boat because I can store my rods and gear completely underneath and can stand in the middle of it and paddle it like a SUP. The Hobies, Diablos, Rides and Jacksons are all super platforms as well.
+100 on the Demo Days.

If you want to call a Hobie PA 14 a kayak, then it would be the most stable I have found. The outback is a real good yak and stable and easy to handle as a one person operation. Good Luck.

NuCanoe Frontier 12. With the cast and blast deck, it was made for standing. Stability is off the charts. If it was any other kayak, I would have turtled it 50 times by now. I wouldn't trade it for anything, not even one of those fancy schmancy Hobie peddle pusher gadget thingys!

I've got a PA14 and I'm storing a Diablo in my garage. At 38 and 36" wide both are good choices.

I fly fish 90% of the time and fish out of either the Coosa or Big tuna from Jackson. Very stable and built well. I traded out for a short paddle with a friend who has a Diablo. I liked it and he was impressed with the Big Tuna as well. Best advice is to get somewhere and try out different models, then choose what is best for you.

I paddle both santa cruz raptors. Both are crazy stable. Speed may not be a requirement but they have it. I throw my 7 ft castnet all the time standing. I would be happy to let you test them out.

Hands down, bar none, there is no mono-hull kayak on the market that can match the primary stability of any of the integrated outrigger, Y-cat, or catamaran style hull designs. It is physically impossible unless their hull designs meet two criteria:
1. They must use a tunnel hull design. 2. They must also be WIDER AND LONGER than the aforementioned boats.
This is simple physics, gang.
The Freedom Hawk Pathfinder is a 14' kayak with variable, integrated 3-position outriggers (patented) that provide the same stability as a 10' x 10' floating platform when extended to the stationary fishing position and a 60" beam x 14' jonboat when set in the in-line extended position for trolling, poling, drifting, or stand-up paddling. The Freedom 14 has the same characteristics in a 2-position configuration vs. 3-positions, giving up the in-line extended option. The 3rd position is with the outriggers folded in to form the stern of a typical 14' kayak, of course.
Freedom Hawk is the ONLY major kayak brand that has won numerous awards from both the kayak and fishing industries since they introduced the original Freedom 14 for their innovation, leadership, and excellence in the stand-up kayak fishing sector. The ONLY one. In fact, FHK has won more awards with this single patented design and a few minor modifications than any other single model of fishing kayak of any type.
Best of all, the FHK Pathfinder, the top of the line boat in the FHK fleet, costs about $1400 at most dealers - instead of $2600-2900 for some of the boats mentioned here that weigh twice as much (requiring an additional $1500 for a trailer to haul them) and were not designed for the stand-up fisherman and don't compare in primary stability. If we're talking STABILITY, let's talk stability.
