Suggestions? I wanna stay 25k or below, I still love tournaments but a bay boat is seeming more logical to me and the skeeter just isnt getting the use one of these would.
I am not opposed to aluminum and the X22 and x24 Bay boats by Xpress have caught my eye as well.

I hated having no carpet. Gets dirtier than hades on every trip. No way to keep it clean but to clean it everytime you fish. In the salt you want to do that anyway. In fresh not so much.

The cleaning aspect I can understand, but with that floor what more does it take than a large handled brush some soap and a carwash? I powerwash my carpets every other trip anyway?
Honest question as I have no idea

I have a hd 18 xpress red fish edition love it but it's rough riding and the wind blows it around something terrible you can wear a trolling motor out

I have a Champion 22ft Center Console. I fish alot of tournaments out of it with no problem. I can get in a foot and a half of water easy. The only draw back I have is that it catches alot of wind with its high sides. My partner has a skeeter bass boat and we use it when its calm or light winds. When its blowing 20+ we take my CC. It handles the rough water well. Get you a good anchor and a trolling motor with the Ipilot and you wont have any problems. Also I have a six yr old son and a 3 month old son and I feel alot safer in the CC with the high sides and it handleing rough water better. Cleaning it is easy. Comet and a big brush! Power wash out! Hope this helps.

There have been many days on Rayburn and Toledo that I would have loved to be in a 22' Bay boat instead of a 20' Bass boat getting my kidneys beat to death.

I almost bought an Express Aluminum CC last year. I think they would be fine.

Interesting idea. I've always thought some of the "redfish style" boats would work well for bass fishing, especially if you are just a casual tournament angler.

I have had a Nauticstar center console for about a year. I found a car wash nearby where the red presoak stuff sprayed on it followed by high powered rinse does wonders (I was making my own concoction and using a firm brush before). They are much more versatile boats as I take mine to the coast a couple of times a year, can take a couple of my sons buddys tubing in a pinch, etc. and you can fish three guys bass fishing better than in a bass boat I personally think. On a moderately windy day it is harder to work the bank and keep the boat positioned in a CC is the main disadvantage I have seen.
