This acceptance speech would not be possible except for one individual who has made such a difference in my life. This person has influenced me in more ways than anyone else could have dreamed. This person taught me how to properly tie a knot and make sure that every time a 10 pound bass hits your lure, it breaks(why work that hard????). (. This person taught me how to fizz through both eyes ensuring that that fish would never "prey" or is it "pray" by sight again! This person taught me how to properly yell, GIT THE ****!!!@@^^^ING NET! This person taught me cuss words I did not even knew existed! This person taught me the proper way to misbehave in a bar. This person taught me the unique survival skill of being able to run off every beautiful woman who dares sit next me in a bar in as little as 3 seconds! My mentor, the snake to my mongoose, and the person who helps keep me inspired on a daily basis, the MAN,JERSEY DAN!!!!!

And now as a tribute to this great achievement in my life, I can only think of two things.

1. Now I know how Steve Martin felt in "The Jerk", when the new phone book was delivered to the gas station he was living in. Remember how excited he was to see his name in the white pages. "I'm somebody now! Things are going to change! with this type of publicity, the sky is the limit!"

2. The song by Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show ("The cover of the rollin' stone" (1973)). The folowing lyrics are set to the music of this great song from my youth. I actually saw them play this live for free in 1975 at the outdoor band shell on Daytona Beach. And no, I was not underage drinking then:)

I see from your post, you had a similar experience with Jersey Dan in a bar. LOL. I guess girls here like abuse, he picked up some girls even though he kept calling them hoes and hillbillys hahah.

Tony - Thanks for the kind words. I haven't been on the forum in a while. Been out on the water putting in lots of hard work and catching monsters. I had no idea I was such an inspiration. At least someone likes me.. haha. My girl is packing her stuff as we speak, because "I've spent four months in Mexico this year and wont marry her".

Congrats on the cover. Fishing is a beautiful thing. By far the most important thing in my life and a ton of TFF members as well.
