Wow Steve thats awesome...I am gonna do the same after this pack. Josef just quit too...it's a Texas carping quit-in. Good luck to us all...

I've lost twenty pounds over the summer, hopefully this doesn't make me gain it all back.

You guys can do it, i smoked a pack a day for 6 years, i quit at the beginning of this year and never picked them back up again! I can breath, run to my rods without being winded, i sleep a billion times better, the list goes on and on!!! And think, you will have way more money for carping!!

Stay stonger than the cigarettes, I told myself for a long time, if i felt like i needed a cigarette, i would close my eyes and have a "mental cigarette" I know it sounds silly but it works.

I suggest seperating yourself from smokers for a while though, bc that makes it just about impossible. I stayed away from my parents and inlaws for aboutthe first 3 months. I am 9 months now smoke free and i consider myself a non smoker!!

Good luck fellas, you got it!

I thank God for each day!

whenever i started feeling the urge, or frustrated where i wanted one, i walked away from the situation and took my mind of of it until i wasn't thinking about it.

my daughter begged me to quit...my dad had bypass last year at age 47...My grandfather died in surgery during a triple bypass at age 56....I DONT WANT TO GO DOWN THAT ROAD.. my dad put the cigarettes down last year in July after he found out he was having a bypass. I knew then that I would thank myself in 25 years when i dont have all the complications from cigarette smoking.

I thank God for each day!

I just got my mom and sister to quit. Told them they couldn't hold my new baby if the smoked without a shower. That worked...

I was able to quit in all areas aside from the bar and fishing; however I bought a good E-cigarette, and it's really been the solution. Tobacco-Specific Nitrosamine Levels in E-cigarettes 4-8 VS 11,190 in a regular smoke plus it saves you a ton of money in the long run. If you're having trouble quitting it's really worth a look.
