Couldn't beat the night bite last week so tried it again this weekend. Anthony and Tom decided that the bite was better than the bed and we were off on our adventure.

Water temps between 89 and 92. Started around 4:30 and picked up probably about 10 fish before the sun went down. All three of us with day light fish:

But as usual it was the night bite we were waiting for and it did not disappoint. Had one lull in action before the moon rise but the bite remained solid all night, as did the wind. Here are a couple of the better ones we were able to set down the poles long enough to snap a picture:

All fish caught on t-rigged worms and lizards in watermelon and cotton candy fished in 2 - 8 feet of water. Bigggest 5 were over 30 pounds and over 20 fish greater than 3.5 pounds.

Is there anywhere to stay around there for a decent price? Oak thicket is full.

Yeah there are some small kind of cruddy cabins to crash at right outside the other boat ramp. It is right behind that little store. Sorry I cant remember the name of the place. Or you can stay in Le Grange at a hotel. Only about 20 mins away.

The other ramp is Park Prarie. Found a number for the bait shop but don't know if this is the right one: 979-249-5828
