Is the hull design different on the 05 and 03 champion 206. Need some help figuring out which of the 2 would be faster. Basically what is the difference? If any.

just to put in my 02 worth as a champion owner, it won't matter. I think both of those will have the same hull. outfitting and accessories would be about the only difference

Please don't.

I would think both the boats are the same hull. Both built in Tennessee I think.

Yeah a 206 is a 206, same boat. The only real difference will be a Tennessee 203 vs an Arkansas 203, they moved the tank forward and really killed that hull.

So that's what it was. My '99 203 would crush this later model 203 that I used to see at Ray Hubbard from time to time. We both had 225 Merc's (my 225EFI, his 225Opti). We took off from the I30 bridge one day headed toward the dam, and for just a moment it looked like a dead heat. Then, my bow rose up and I pulled away from him and never looked back. It was incredibly satisfying!!

Yeah it was a stupid decision to compromise a great running hull like the 203 for some stupid storage boxes. I know some stratos guy will send me a pipe bomb, and I like Alan Stinson fine as a person, but he never designed a hull as good as Dave Schlick did in Mt. Home.

Well I have a 05 206 and I sure wish it would run 70+.
