On a cork popper should I use a hack feather at the back? Is there another feather to put back there that sticks out a little better or what would you use at the back?

I made some sort of cool frogs with wine corks, it with wrapped hackle then some contrasting color maraboo then 2 long feathers of chinese hackle for legs....they didn't cast worth a flip

Schlappen fill work as well, since it is a longer barbed feather.
