Brownings are trash IMO. What will you be fishing for? What size reel? In the dark, I would say the Pflueger Supreme MG, but I'm a Pflueger guy.

This will be for walleye and smallmouth bass and the line will be between 6# and 10#.

I don't like the spool design on the Johnny Morris' and others with that spool. To me it would be between the Pfueger and the Shimano. Pflueger fit's how I fish and my hand better, but they're both great reels. Quantum's are one step up from Brownings IMHO.

What criteria are you using to judge the "the best" reel with?
Is it smooth went you crank it?
Does it have the feel of a high dollar reel or is it just cheap plastic?
Is it got a nice handle?

None of the above. I would buy a USA Sportscaster 600. http://www.usreel.com/This is the reel jimmy houston pardnered with. I bought 1 at academy for 69.00, loaded it with some 17 lb flora went fishing.. Next day I went and bought 2 more. It is a heck of a an idea they came up with. No line guide and line spools from the bottom not the top.

This might be the weirdest, most pointless post ever. I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering fishing

Orra SX
I have 3 of these in the 30 size, and 1 regular Orra S,very nice, smooth reels, will handle just about anything. Have not tried any others, I guess cause I'm and Abu Garcia nut. THe Orra S is pretty much the same reel, got mine at wallyworld for 69 bucks
