Henry David Thoreau said that "Some men fish all their lives without knowing it is really not the fish they are after."
I think that I am approaching this stage, that is to have
the opportunity and joy to go fishing and enjoy God's magnificent creation.

I know it is not a top water, but a strike king wake bait with a long pause is deadly and kinda like a top water.

I've had good luck this year with the X-Rap Pop in Mossyback Shiner.

Yellow Magic: Fished faster than most like a fleeing shad

Norman ZZ Top: Works like a Spook only easier to walk with great hooks and a loud rattle

Ribbit: Fished around lily pads on a Double Take hook and 65# braid

Lunker Lure 1/2 oz Buzzbait: Normally fished early or late in the day

Deps spiralminnow.....

You can pop it, buzz it, jerk it, or just swim it.

It's side to side swimming action wakes the water. Three different rattles vibrate the the bait with every move. The Chrome prop on the tail kicks the water up and clacks aginst the rear hook to mimic the sound of a fleeing bait fish.
This is a year round confidence bait for me and would put it to any and every topwater bait on the market. (This is ONLY my opinion)
