 I spent the morning targeting schools of crappie. I caught some nice crappie and a few large bluegill. I also caught a nice channel catfish while fishing for crappie. I also had about a 4 lb bass on that threw-the-hook right in front of me. I used a few different types of jigs, but the most productive were chartreuse and chartreuse/black tubes and curly tails tipped with maggots. Later that day, I went to this resevoir and caught some nice bluegill and crappie fishing chartreuse/black jigs with maggots over weed-beds. One of my bluegill was 9 inches. The next day, I went to Lake Erie and fished at a marina in Lorain (near the power plant or "hot waters"). I caught a nice bluegill and rock bass using a chartreuse curly tail.
