I have enjoyed some great times on Cooper lake this last month. I have had the pleasure to carry some of the TFFers out to cooper. We had a break from the texas heat and except for 1 week the hybird fishing has been GREAT. We had several storms roll over Cooper lake. That week the hybirds were hit and miss all week. But for the last few days it has been normal summer hybird CATCHING on Cooper lake. I am using two baits right now, a 1 1/2 godfather slad and a 4in sassy shad. Both baits are from moestackleshop.com.
It is still a afternoon bite for the most part. I am finding the hybirds chasing shad on and around main lake humps and flats. The birds are back to point the way.
The sandbass are literally all over the lake. They are schooling in open water as well as on MOST of the main lake humps. If it the sandbass you are after drop down you slad size to a 1oz godfather.
September is a GREAT month to be on Cooper lake. I have too many open days in sept. Lets go catch some Cooper Hybirds.

Way to go tony! I had the chance to go visit tony the other day over at cooper and what fun it was to hang out, catch some fat hybrids and catch up on over due conversation!

Despite the north wind my clients still managed to put 14 nice hybirds in the boat this afternoon. We could not find them on the surface this afternoon.

I hear ya! Both morning and afternoon trips were "rocking"...excellent job pulling out 14 hybies w/ the conditions!
