I just bought a new Jackson Kayak, and was just wondering if anybody has heard any reports on Medina Lake besides that it is super low...(which is probably great for kayakers, since not many boats can get on it!!!)

During this time of the summer that lake can be tough. Id wait till it cools off a little more.

Just my .02 cents

I was out at Medina on Saturday with my father in-law and we crushed whites and hybrids. We each caught 25+ from 7am-11:30am. All caught on a PoP-R and Spook Jr. They would only bite if we were super fast and frantic on the surface. You have to follow the boils, so prepare to do allot of paddling.

It is an awesome paddle heading down the river into the lake. As far as scenery goes anyway.

I don't know if I would try it right now. You will run out of water before you hit the lake. LLOOONNNNGGGGG stretches where your kayak wont even float.
