I lost an over at the boat at fork in the first Mcdonalds I ever fished. The same one that the hurricane hit a few years back. I jumped up and down, screamed, cussed, sat down, and almost had a stroke. Lost an easy ten pounder when it jumped at Falcon with Tommy Law. Beat the lake for about a minute with my carrot stick. I dont handle these situations well

Same as getting thrown off a horse. Get right back at it. I've been much more rattled by big bass I've boated than those I've lost.

I don't say a word, just keep on chunkin'.
Same lure, too. You won't catch the same fish that you've just hooked, but if you hooked it you're obviously throwing the right thing. Keep doing it.

I will usually throw whatever I was using when the fish hit the first time. If that doesn't work I will throw a stick of dynamite.

I lost the biggest fish I believe I have ever had on a couple of weeks ago. I have beat that water to death ever since and haven't gotten her again. I will continue to go back, cause I know where she lives now!

Jump in and go after her. Hasn't woked for me yet. But when you get out of the water and realize your $400 cell phone is ruined, you forget all about the fish you just lost.
