I came across this article in the Corpus Christi Caller Times. I don't fish baffin bay at all, but I have always heard it can be quite treacherous if you don't know the bay very well.

Baffin bay is bad enought in the daylight but at dark what were they thinkn. hammer

Imagine same way they got there go back high tide with somebody at least as big a boat to stay in deeper water[ not that Baffin has really deep water]and hope fully drag it out, been there done that one time not Baffin though.Still can`t imagine any body out there at dark unless u got lottsa lights and good eyes.But then again look at the 38footer on the rocks of south jetty beach side u can see the pier and it`s lit up shoulda known they were on the wrong side of the jetties even at 4:30 in the am.Hope alcohol wasn`t involved that`s one the boats out of Dolphin docks smaller charter pretty sure...... who_knows .

sounds like they were in the meadows area. they would have hit a rock in baffin.
