I am not a Palestine regular, the only place I go is under the 155 bridge. My buddy just got himself a New (to him) boat and would like to go get some Crappie Saturday. Would any of you be willing to share a spot- not asking for your honey hole, just a good spot.

I've been catching a few under the 2 small 155 bridges in Ledbetter/Highsaw bay. Also, 2 weeks ago I marked a lot of fish (didn'thave time to fish it)in the timber on the West side of the bridge on the Highsaw side of the bay. The afternoon bite was best but the slightly cooler temps may have improved the morning bite.

Never fished Palestine but if pepop says there's fish in the timber I'd sure check it out. Not asking you to post where you find them but would appreciate a report on how you did.

Good luck!

The Villages - $5, The wind can be an issue there at times. L.P. Motel - $2 & L.P. Resort - $3. These are on either side of the Ledbetter/Highsaw Bridges on Hwy. 155. Then there's a free, public ramp in the back on Saline Bay and it's a goodun. If you want to access the lake from Chandler, the best ramp on this side if Flat Creek. There's a free publis ramp as well as a $2 launch at the Flat Creek Marina. On the lower end there is the free launch at the dam. These are the ramps I've used.

Sangelle, are you referring to my blue Stratos or do you have one too?

Looks like it will be Sunday after church for me- Worked on getting the back yard ready to pour a patio while I had some shade. One more question--Minnows or jigs- I think I am gonna pick up some 'Slab Bandits" from Lynch's, he only has a few colors.

If you can, be sure to pick up Blue Truse, Pearl Truse, Texas Toast and maybe even Firehouse Shad &/or Sour Grape. All 5 have been good producers on Palestine, with BlueTruse & Sour Grape the most recent
