I am looking at the Tracker Targa as a boat for catfishing on Lewisville and Ray Roberts and striper fishing on Texoma will this boat work for what I am looking for. I would upgrade to the 150 hp motor. It would only be used for fishing but I have a wife and two sons that like to fish so I need something that 4 people could fish out of and the 19 foot boat holds 6 people. Money is tight and this will be my first new boat have a bass boat now just two small for what I want to do

Just remember Tracker boats are entry level boats. You have to purchase all the accessories such as seats. The boats they sell will get you on the water, but in a plain jane boat.

You need to go and look at one and ask what comes with it.

I think it will be fine for what your wanting to do. I believe bobby-catfishing guides out of the same or very simmilar boat. He's a moderator here and might be able to give you some first hand pros and cons.

My V18 Tracker worked great for the same things you are asking and the Targa is bigger and will work fine.

I have the Targa v18 combo and it came with everything including seats. I upgraded the motor to a 150 and it fishes great.
I like fishing for open water fish so, if you fish in the wind it tends to move around a little more than a fiberglass.
I think it gets a lot better gas milage than a fiberglass boat of the same size and it handles waves well.

I don't know what Tracker dealer ChuChu1 uses but every other basspro store I have been in the Trackers came ready to fish out of (right after filling the gas tank with the correct gas mixture)I have owned a TX17 and a ProTeam 185 and both were delivered fully rigged!!
