Need some help figuring out the bass on Grapevine. Wife and I just bought a boat last month and we've been out on the vine a couple of times but haven't caught anything. I've fished the rip/rap by the dam with DD-22's. I've fished in Twin Coves and around Merrel Park. Thrown crankbaits, thrown plastics, but haven't caught a thing.
I haven't been able to get on the water for the morning bite but have fished from 10:00-4:00 for 2 days. I know there are a lot of fish in this lake and going out there and getting skunked is really frustrating. Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Fish the dam with anything you want. For numbers just a texas riged worm.

Go out in the morning and throw a DD crankbait around those rock bluffs by the tourist lookout cliff that has a bench to sit down at. There is good underwater rock in 6-12ft. This is the side of the lake next to the dam.
Crank the Deep shorline by the restaraunt / bar.
The info above won us the tourney last month out there. I have no desire to go back to the lake.
Also dropshot around the concrete building at the dam. That will work.
