I have a 2007 Yamaha HPDI 250 and it keeps over-heating or at least buzzing saying it is overheating. I change the impeller yearly and get the rocks out of the area that they build up in but tonight I was talking to a guy that said his used to do the same thing and the housing that the impeller sits in was warped once he fixed that no problems.

With all that being said does this sound like the fix since I change the impeller every year? Anyone else with this problem that has fixed it this way or another? I have had the sensor checked in the past, too.

Cleaning the poppet assembly is a must on these motors. Yes changing the complete upper water pump is a good idea every couple of years.
