What are the best spoons to buy and what are the best techniques.I really want to start fishing with these, but have no idea where to start. I dont even know the best time of year. So any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Do a search on YouTube for "Justin Rackley" and I think the one where he covers spoons is called Deep Water Bass or something like that. He has some of the most informative bassing videos on YouTube because he goes into a lot of detail about the lure, presentation, etc. He's a spokesman for Lake Fork Tackle lures but his advice can be applied universally.

Spoons can be fished in many ways: barely hopping them off the bottom, or ripping them off the bottom. The biggest tip I could give would be to let the spoon fall on slack line, allowing the spoon to flutter. Don't forget a swivel. Good luck and let the fish tell you how they want it. They can be a ton of fun, they will usually hit them while falling/fluttering. I personally like the spoons that Lake Fork Marina carries, it's the Big Joe spoon.

I like the Dixie ones. They're cheap and pretty durable. I just stick with the tiny collectible ones with the name of the state on them. Still dragging Idaho and New Hampshire. Cracker Barrel store needs a website.
Another reason I enjoy sunnies, they're pretty

The Talon spoons are top shelf and have great hooks on them. On a lot of the other brands I feel I need to change the hooks out. These are ready to go. Love the Hoochie Shad. I like to sit in channel bends near deeper flats (10 feet or better) and fan cast them in search mode. Which ever ones you get are you going to put them on the Alabama Rig? Yes, I will. will try them for sure in the middle. I might even spread the rig horizontal and tie 5 spoons on. we shal see
