My house is close to the lake in a rocky wooded neighborhood. Problem is, I spray Demon WP once a week (1 wknd on the outside, then next wknd on inside). Don't have any ants, bugs, spiders, or anything else make it through the paremiter. But these dang scorpions, it seems they are bullet proof or something. Question is, do any of you guys have this problem and if so, how are you ridding the situation? Some people have mentioned 7dust so I guess I can give this a try. Just want to hear some of you guys thoughts...

I put glue traps inside my house. I catch them that way, but I'm sure I don't get them all. Tempo is an excellent spray if you want to try something different.

I wear tennis shoes when I go pee in the middle of the night.
Keep the insect population as low as possible ( less food = less scorpions) and try to reduce the amount of leaf litter / mulch / wood piles around the outside of the house. Glue traps set along the baseboards work really well .
I had an encounter a few weeks ago while letting the dog out at night. I saw what I thought was a stick on the porch. I grabbed it and it wouldn't come off . I touched it again and a large mother scorpion ( complete with babies) took off like a bat out of you-know-where.
Thinking it's time for some glasses.

I lived in Arizona for years and scorpions were a huge problem..had exterminators tell me numerous times that they had nothing that would kill them.. They do seem to be bullet proof. They told me the only way to control them was to control the other bugs which is their food source.. If you kill off the food source the scorpions will leave ...

Get some of the broadcast granules for your lawn and cover the outside of your house. I try to go with different types of poison. The way I figure, if one doesn't work maybe the other will - sort of the belt and suspenders approach.
I have also heard good things about Termidor SC. I started using it a month ago, but cannot comment on its effectiveness for scorpions yet.

Something like this, although there are many other brands. Should be able to find in any lawn and garden section. I'm not sure any one is better than another. Apply to your lawn using a fertilizer spreader and water it in.

We have been in a war with them for 30 years in Waller Co. Finally went for the kill all other insects (food Source) and it has helped. Having a scorpion pop you on the bare belly at 3am will make you do wahtever it takes to kill them. Glue traps are great too.
