Traversing the entire state of WA for 10 days visiting wife's friends and family. Spent some time heading way up north through Deception pass and on to old Fort Casey that protected the Puget Sound in the early 1900's. Spending two days in Lake Chelan at a friends waterfront home. This is beautiful country and awesome weather, especially now in the evening. And we've eaten at some wonderful restaurants - every one has fish n chips and none of them are bad. Finish up further east to visit the kids at Washington State University.

I would consider living here (Eastern WA)- they say all these homes in Chelan need work of some sort, hmmmmmmm?

I was born and raised there and in the process of moving back. How funny to see someone post about my small hometown.

I used to live up there when I was a kid/you adult, my mom, little brother, and sis live in Spokane. Been on chelan and the columbia a few times, love it up there.

Also when real young lived in Oak Harbor and would go out to Ft Casey often, crawled every inch of that place. Deception pas and cranberry lake as well. Really brings back memories!

Mulkito ferry from island to mainland

Airborne war hero paratrooper at the Fort giving tours. crazy number of jumps under his belt and two steel knees. Not a lot of these guys around anymore

Absolutely beautiful country and pictures right there!

I've done a fair amount of fishing and hunting in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, and it's all beautiful country up there.
