Interesting.

Can anyone else confirm this?

I got pulled over for towing a 30ft 5th wheel with a 12 ft trailer carrying a Polaris Ranger. Trooper told me they don't measure distance, but overall gross weight from towing vehicle ( on the door) and I also needed a none comercial CDL. never heard that before.

I have heard that sometimes state troopers will pull you over and ask for a CDL but you should reply that you don't fish to make money and so its not for commercial purposes.

He said you need a noncommercial CDL? You do realize that CDL stands for Commercial Driver's License right? So it sounds like a regular driver's license should work crazy
