Yep,that's what I did. I got a 1500 yd. spool of 65lb. Power pro,for 75 bucks last year. Just have to watch and bid on em.

I use some what lite line no braid ... 20lb to 25lb mono P-Line or Maxima <-- (gotta have that shipped)

I use Tug-of - war 80 & 100lb braid . / Excellent line & american too!!! / Word to the wise watch that power-pro braid on e-bay...lots of boot-leg line being sold on their..



If it ain't broke don't fix it...but go ahead and work on it anyway.....

The stuff on ebay is thicker than powerpro in most cases.
