 Shimano reels G Loomis rods , Eagle Claw hooks , I have not used Shimano in a long time but if I like them I may switch from Penn , as for the rods if they are good I will switch I have had some bad rods from Shakespeare this year , I have never broke any of the Power Rods till this year

Wow, I'd like Shimano to sponsor me... not sure they'd find a bowfin/gar fisherman sponsor-worthy though

I use shimano and love them, never used the thunnus but heard good thing about them.

Pro Blue from G Loomis , I have never used them so I dont know if they will break or not on a big fish
As for sponsoring a gar fisherman thats all I do
but good luck with getting any sponsor anymore of any type
Everyone has went off with the sponsor ships , if I didnt do so many shows I wouldnt get the tackle I get

Ya they sent me 5 of the 8000 and 5 of the 12000 , they are a little smaller than the Penn 760 reels I am using but I think they will work I am spooling them with 50 lb Power pro and top shotting them with 150 Power Pro , we are going to try them next week when Mark Zona shoots the show with me , hopefully the rods dont break .... We will see
