It's a great lake, this time of year fish humps and drop off's. I'm not sure what the current water level is but this lake fishes really good. Stop at the little store right before the dam and check with them on how the fish are doing as well. Good luck !

We are planning a trip there the end of Sept. for the first time. Are there any cabins or rooms nearby?

Thanks a bunch i will have to try it out. As far as cabins go there are small cabins alongside the lake. Very small. There are motels available about 20 minutes away in atoka.

How big of a room you lookin for. Little pines have cabins at the entrance across the road from the store. Boat covered and they are nice. $65 dollars a night i believe. 1580-239-0391. Tell him Jason sent ya!

I was there Tuesday. Caught around 30 small schoolers, mostly spots.
